‘Data Collection’ is when information is recorded during machining, which is then used for further analysis.

 

Data such as sound, vibration and force may be recorded using MALDAQ software.

Equipment Setup

  • A microphone is mounted inside the machine
  • The microphone is connected to the data acquisition card using a BNC cable
  • MALDAQ software is used to record during machining

Equipment Setup

  • An accelerometer is mounted inside the machine at the area of interest
  • The accelerometer is connected to the DAQ card using a BNC cable
  • MALDAQ software is used to record during machining

Equipment Setup

  • Workpiece material is to be mounted on-top of the dynamometer
  • The dynamometer is connected to a charge amplifier using BNC cables
  • The charge amplifier is then connected to a data acquisition card
  • Addition cables/charge amplifiers etc. can be used for multi-axis measurements
  • MALDAQ software is used to record during machining
